2014-2015 Nashville Predators Thread

I was at the game tonight... So frustrating the past couple weeks.

It's reminding me too much of the Titans. Thankfully, we'll be in the playoffs, but unless something changes soon we won't go far.

Four game road stretch coming up now... Awesome. Surely we will be able to beat Phoenix on Monday. Surely. If not, it's full on panic mode.

 

I went to a lot of games early on in 2002, 03 and enjoyed just for the sake of going. The playoffs a few years ago were very exciting. I haven't been to a game since the ownership "group" took over and the coaching change. Certainly seems there was a jump up in the product with those changes. I plan on going to a home playoff game- don't care about the cost. I'd like to experience the thrill of actually pulling for a home team that is legitimately good. Thought that was going to be the Preds this year, I'm wondering now w/ this streak.

I'm not knowledgeable in hockey. What is your opinion of the cause of the current losing streak? Just a blip, or do you something serious that needs correcting so they have a legitimate chance?

 

Yea I went in April/May of 2011 and 2012 the last times we were in the playoffs, and it was awesome. I'll have to go again... I just get super cheap nosebleed seats.

I'm not very knowledgable in hockey either, so I'm the wrong person to ask about the slump.

It just seems like the whole team is playing poorly. We aren't getting many good shots, and we're playing like crap on defense.

It also seems that we have sucked ever since trading for Franson and Santorelli, but I doubt that's the reason.

IMO we better give Pekka a rest on Monday... Since it's Phoenix, I'm sure we will.

 

Franson and Santorelli were Leafs so that could be the reason lol
Every team goes through slumps..could be hidden injuries...lack of focus on the little aspects of the game like pp and pk...good teams and good coaching find a way to get out of it

 

Where do the next franchises go? I'd like to see Seattle and Quebec City. With seahawks success be a good time for the Seattle one

 

I doubt Quebec City gets a team since they have had 2 NHL teams but both moved to other cities. The first NHL team was from 1878 to 1920 then they moved to Hamilton, Ontario. The other team was a WHL from 1972 t0 1979 and from then on to 1995 when the team moved to Denver and became the Avalanche

 

Quebec deserves one more than Phoenix...maybe Vegas?
What about Quebec City? Seattle? Las Vegas season-ticket drive raises more questions about NHL expansion

 

Vegas needs something.

A Stanley Cup is realistic for the Preds this year. We can beat anyone. TN needs its first professional sports championship (that matters) and this could be it. These playoff games are going to be rocking. I can't wait to be downtown as well during this.

 

Still feel that way?

We'd be lucky to even compete in the playoffs at this point.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I would be shocked if we made it out of the first round at this point.

Team just isn't ready yet... but they'll get there soon.
