Its a much bigger need than RB or WR and we can get a starting RT in the 3-4th rounder

Of course we need an OLB. There is no reason to not take a pass rusher and T in every draft. They are the two most important positions besides QB and you can never have too many.

    100% disagree with you.

Sure, you can get a starting RT in the 3rd or 4th, I won't argue with that. You can make the same case with RB also. In fact, i'd prefer to wait until the 3rd or 4th for a RB - unless Gordon/Gurley are available at #33.

But WR is a HUGE need for this team. Wright is on his final year, and isn't a #1 WR. He's a good slot guy, but will never be a superstar. He can be a 1000y receiver and a solid #2 guy (playing from the slot), but I don't see much more. Hunter has been a bust, he still has potential, but I honestly don't expect much from him. Harry Douglas is already 30, but does have a 1000y season under his belt. To me, he's no more than a #3 WR...

If Dorial Green-Beckham, Jaelen Strong, or Breshard Perriman are available at #33, i'm taking them. If those 3 are gone (and Gurley/Gordon), then I would strongly consider an OLB (depending who's on the board).

Did you see what happens to a 3-4 D when it does not have good olb last year? We are one injury or bad performance from having a horrible D again. Replacement WR are a lot easier to find mid way through the season than an effect olb. I really want strong as well, but not at the cost of getting a solid olb. I really want to trade back a few spots in the second to pick up an extra 3. I would take Orchard in the 2nd then a WR, T, G with the two picks in the 3rd. Webster said we need numbers at olb and right now we have 3. That's not enough.

They are indeed desperate for a true #1 WR. If they are sold on Mett, they need to get him a threat/go to. I like the Douglas pickup, but he is a good 2-3 man. Nobody is afraid of Hunter as he is soft and average at best. Wright belongs in the slot. I think you go RT round 2 or after.

.... and we added Brian Orakpo and resigned Derrick Morgan. We have two above average starting OLBs. Orakpo has plenty of health problems, but from what i've seen online, he's made adjustments in his training to prevent stress on his pectorals (I believe this was a PK tweet). We were so banged up last year that Quentin Groves was starting OLB by years end. Wimbley & Massaquoi are average backup OLBs, but not awful by any means.

If we draft an OLB at #33, he'll be a backup, unless somebody gets hurt. I find that illogical, unless there's a legit OLB that falls to #33. Otherwise, look at OLB in the 3rd-5th for depth.

Also --- legit chance that Nate Orchard is on the board with the 3rd.

My dream draft right now (and will change 1000 more times before the draft)

1: Mariota or LW (I prefer Mariota right now)
2: Breshad Perriman, WR, UCF (still praying Gordon/Gurley fall to #33)
    3: Daryl Williams, OT, Oklahoma
    4: Mike Davis, RB, Wisconsin

However, i'd really love to trade back our 2nd and pickup a 3rd. Then we go WR, RB, OT, and OLB in rounds 2-4.

Dream right now is the trade scenario where Rivers is sent to the Jets for #6. Then Chargers flip #6 and #17 to us for #2. We can go Amari Cooper and then Todd Gurley. At #33 find our RT and then defense the rest of the draft basically.

I'm not a big Mett guy but if you give him Gurley/Sankey at RB, Cooper/Wright/Douglas/Hunter at WR, Walker at TE, and an improved OL then that offense could work.

We could potentially even go DL at #17 and top RB in the 3rd. Which could be a Yeldon or Davis or Cobb.

I'd be shocked if he made it to round 2, could def see the Saints grabbing him with the Seahawks pick. Plug him in to Grahams role.
