Oh yeah, I'm at the point where I just want this organization to not be a complete joke and embarrassment to the state anymore. If that's a 3-year process to do things the right way then so be it. I'm on board. But we need someone competent at the top steering the ship. The Adams family hasn't been getting it done over the better part of the past decade.

To a certainty, the family feud has been going on this entire time - and probably long before Bud's death.

I am not sure that the family wanting change is a sign the team will be sold. It could also point to the fact that they want the team to do better and know Tommy could not do it. I think everyone would agree running an NFL team has got to be a full time job. I would not want to try to run an energy company & an NFL team at the same time. (For the record I WISH I had that problem! LOL)

However, I just hope this team brings in a younger football mind that is not afraid to shake the tree if the fruit is rotten.

The bottom line is that owners will be involved in deciding if a GM is fired. I just hope they give the new guy enough free reign to right the ship. They will not turn it completely over to him I am sure, but he should be allowed to make the changes needed to fix this mess.

Imo we are seeing the train wreck a family squabbling over an estate can create.

As individuals several are minority owners. But collectively their "shareholder" vote outweighs Susie smith (and Tommy's) vote. I can't help but surmise they have had enough of the current state of affairs (and presumable drop in fan support/?revenue). They "TOLD" Tommy and Susie to have Tommy GTFO and get a replacement or they'd do it via a vote. All speculation on my part but makes parsimonious sense of the entire picture.

I think it is an indicator of discord among the shareholders. No good business person sells low unless they are worried about further losses. This next year should be interesting.

The problem I have with this is that no one else is reporting this. JLC cannot be the only guy with sources or who knows this, especially with Schefter, Glazer etc around. It's unfathomable
Until someone else reports it, I'm not buying it.

I hear you. LaCanfora not the most credible guy around. Just a lot of inconsistencies that are fueling a good part of this. I do think the shareholders are in disagreement right now. And that often leads to behavior(s) of self preservation.

I am inclined to believe La Canfora's reports that the Titans are exploring a sale (listening to offers and actively shopping the team are different things), I just don't believe La Canfora's speculative nonsense about Haslam trading the Browns for the Titans.

As for why others might not be reporting the same, keep in mind that La Canfora is several steps below the Schefters and Glazers of the world. They focus on breaking real news and getting their stuff 100% right. La Canfora is probably desperate to actually break a story for once so he might come forward with Titans rumors before he's 100% sure they are accurate.

    I totally agree.

Obviously if a deal were imminent or the family were openly shopping the team then you'd have more people reporting on it. But I absolutely believe that there's something to JLC's reports. He's just too adamant about it for him to be completely making it up IMO. That's not to say this team will for sure be sold, but it doesn't seem very far-fetched that there are at the very least internal discussions going on regarding a potential sale.

I mean, let's just look at the facts. The team was divided among several family members after Bud's passing. And it would most likely bring something north of 1.5 billion dollars (JLC says potentially close to 2 billion). That's A LOT of money.... even for people who are already super rich. You gotta really love this team to pass that up.

Which brings me to my next point. Considering Kenneth Adams IV is the only member of the ownership group I'm aware of who actually lives within 700 miles of the stadium, I just don't think the family as a whole is as emotionally invested in this team as owners of a NFL team should be. I mean, here we are a year and a half after Bud's death and we don't currently have a member of the ownership group who has made themselves a public face/representative of this organization. And it doesn't seem as if we're going to get one anytime soon.

With all the money at stake, as well as all the parties involved, I honestly think it's naive to think the possibility of a sale is not being discussed.

    Steve Underwood (intermin CEO) today:

Titans interim president: Team is not for sale

"My sources are the five people who own the team, and to a person they all say the team is not for sale. They tell me they are not selling,'' Underwood said. "What I am being told is to find a new president to help get our club in a direction moving forward, and those are not the kinds of things that owners do when they are looking to sell.

"I have identified a couple of things we need to be focusing on, and one of them is a search for a permanent leader that as an organization we can be proud of and as a city Nashville can be proud of and intends to live and make his or her home in Nashville,''

Assuming the above is true (which of course Underwood is not going to rat if some or all family would sell), it sounds great. It sounds like the multiple Adams owners are making decisions to improve the product since they've taken over, and having the CEO in Nashville is something that has been wanted for a long time.
