He got a bunch of college guys to do it when he was a freshman and sophomore. Not saying hes a sure thing, but hes as close as anyone in this draft.

Where are you getting this? Are you just making stuff up as you go along? Did you even watch any FSU games this year? If you did, you would have noticed in every game, Jameis staying on his teammates, imploring them to play hard and him walking up and down the sidelines cheering on the defense when he wasn't on the field. In almost every analysis I've read they list leadership as one of his strengths.

Here are a few links if you want to read about it. The last link is a video ESPN did on him, 7 games into his freshman year, talking about what a great leader he was even then and the year before, when he was red-shirted.

“several NFL players who played with Winston at Florida State called Winston a natural leader who showed those traits even when EJ Manuel was FSU's starting quarterback and Winston was redshirting as a freshman.”

Strengths “…leadership and a competitive fire.”

Yea not sure how you can say he's not a leader, he's got a bigger than life personality and has won on every level he's been at. Jameis may be a silly ass kid but on the field he's a serious ass QB to have to deal with.

Winston is no doubt the leader of FSU and will be a leader on whatever NFL team drafts him.

leading a bunch of college kids is different than leading professionals. he Better be as good as he thinks he is because if he goes into a professional locker room thinking everyone should just bow down to him because of his name and what he did in college then I think he will find out real quick grown men don't play that. You better prove yourself before you act like your the man.

I'm usually the one to back the guys with off the field issues. I juSt really hate this guy, and still don't understand how he's the unanimous best qb "since luck" when he threw 18 ints to only 25 tds last year.

btw. Vince Young was a great on the field leader in college too...js

I get a pretty good feeling JFaulk doesn't know much about Jameis Winston, its all about TD:INT ratio now?

Mixed with a few headlines. He is no doubt respected on the field and plays with passion. That's what the pros like in their teammates.

We were supposed to draft Manziel because he had a great TD:INT ratio.

Anyone who doesn't think Winston is a leader is either hating, ignorant, or both.

Prime example. Clemson 2014. Suspended the whole game. Could have sulked. Thrown a tantrum. You know, the things guys do when they're immature, front-running ass clowns. Instead he's in the film room with Sean Maguire after hours trying to get him ready and keeping guys focused and encourage throughout the game.

As far as him expecting professionals at the NFL level to bow at his feet, you just don't follow what everyone says about him inside the program. Everything said about him is the absolute opposite. He's just one of the guys.
