So you don't think the Adams family has done anything business wise to help with the multiple family run businesses? Tommy Smith was just flat out lying when he said he wanted to devote more time to the Energy business? Or do you think businesses run themselves?

I don't think the adams family is living off of the riches at all. They are a successful family, bud just got them fired up. They are all preoccupied by other commitments and always have been, until bud passed. Bud was the only one "all in" on football. Now that hes gone there is no one in the family to run this franchise.

Like another poster said earlier, it is very possible bud did this on purpose to force the uninterested family members to sell their stake.

PUBLIC OWNERSHIP IS NO LONGER ALLOWED BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE TERRIBLE FOR THE LEAGUE.

So who should run the team? Would this even be a topic of discussion if the "new owner in charge" was a male executive within Bud's organization chart? You have a family of very successful business folk and I am thankful that maybe they realized the wrong one was leading the charge.

Some people here wouldn't be, and won't be, happy with anyone that takes over. They love to hate the team so have fun with that.

Personally I find it frustrating that Goodell would publicly criticize the ownership. That is no way to generate community goodwill for a franchise that is in transition in many ways. Having the Commisioner, who I personally consider a money sucking pit stain of a person, do this in no way helps the situation at all.

We don't know what's going on behind closed doors. Sometimes it's a good move to call someone out publicly. Like him or not (i don't, as a commissioner) he knows how to make money. Its really hard to make a good argument against him in any "business" decision.

Yeah...them and Rush Limbaugh. Titans would get all the media attention you could ever ask for then.

Even if the NFL allowed public ownership, every single person in the greater Nashville area would need to chip in more than $1,000 in order to gather enough money to buy an NFL franchise.

This isn't some school fundraising drive.
