Nate is gone.....Wright belongs in the slot and can't stay upright...Hunter sucks, and will be off of this team in no time. That leaves us with Harry Douglas, whom I like, but is not a #1. We are VERY thin at the position, whether people like it or not.

    bingo.

Wiz is an offense guy. Our offense is absolutely pathetic.

I believe that they made defensive moves in free agency so they could devote draft resources to offense.

First, we are taking mariota. I'm 95% confident. I've never been so sure about a Titans pick.

Second round, who knows. WR or Gurley or Gordon. Then RT in the third.

They have to take Mariota if they feel he is a franchise QB. If not, trade out and rebuild offense for Mett or next year guy.

I agree. I really believe they get weapons on offense. QB/WR/RT/RB it's a must if they want to be competitive and keep a defense honest at all.

people are so quick to say hunter and wright sucK.

We've had a garbage qb, garbage oline, garbage rb, and a coaching change since they've been drafted.

can nobody do the math and figure out why they've been less than stellar?

Staying on your feet and playing with no heart/soft have little to do with that. I do believe Wright is good, but he belongs in the slot. He is 5'10, small, and not creating mismatches. He could do damage in the slot. Hunter has the ideal build, but he didn't show me very much. Do you honestly believe that teams fear either of these guys? Do you actually think they have to seriously game plan for them? Sure...I agree with you that having a better line and running helps, but I don't think Hunter is a true #1.

Would teams fear receivers like Edelman, Cobb, Thomas, and Hilton if they did not have great QB's? Doubt it. QB's make wide receivers great, that's why it's a struggle to name receivers on teams like the Raiders and Jaguars

Kendall Wright literally can't run without slipping. Justin Hunter was way overhyped coming into last year and fell on his face. The QB play and better OL would help their stats but that still wouldn't make them #1 guys. Wright is a slot guy, Hunter is looking like he's going to be good for stretching the field and the Douglas role is being able to line up wherever. That's all we have at WR.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is, I don't feel comfortable drafting Williams and then banking on this defense. Yeah a great defense can carry you to the playoffs (if the offense isn't horrible) but we're still many pieces away even with Williams. That's my point. We've brought in Orakpo with injury issues, we haven't seen a lot of Brown in the 3-4, Searcy is an upgrade at SS, and Cox is another #2 CB that we brought in. Solid pieces but nothing like the defense that you're mentioning at the bottom.

Take Mariota if they like him or trade. Get the franchise QB to build around or keep adding more pieces until we find the guy we want behind center. Which is a great year to do that since apparently if you want Mariota it'll have to be at #2.

Will be an interesting draft for sure.
