Counterpoint. Texans won the division in '11 and '12 with a decent quarterback. They were a tiebreaker out of the playoffs this year with average to bad quarterbacking.

If we went ahead and drafted Williams, I hope the next few round go like this...
    2) WR Dorial Green Beckham (next Randy Moss type WR)
    3) QB Bryce Petty (competition for Mettenberger with a very high ceiling)
    4) OT Jake Fisher (Oregon OT, who has a good combine, but is relatively underrated)...might not find him slipping this far, but our 4th rd pick is effectively a late 3rd, and most teams that needed an OT would have gotten theirs by the 3rd Rd...where I think he'd normally go.

Negative. Matt Schaub was playing like one of the leagues best at that time. His problem is that he lost a lot of arm strength in the past few season, and can no longer make the requisite throws needed as a starter. THAT is what cost Kubiak his job....just like Jake Locker staying hurt, and Webster backing him up with a Pick 6 Master Enigma, otherwise know as Ryan Fitzpatrick, cost Munch his job.

Hell honestly I might give up the 2nd for him straight up now that I think about it.

for some reason I have a feeling there's a real chance this could happen too.
Lol. They would never do that. They know wiz wants rivers too much to ever offer that kind of deal. I'm willing to bet they probably won't trade him unless it's for the 2nd pick straight up.

Wiz and Webster would probably do it too. They know their jobs are on the line if they don't start winning more noW.

Schaub was top 10'ish and was injured for about half the season in their first playoff run.

And we'd be stupid to trade the #2 for a 33yr old QB...I guess it will cone down to if we want Rivers or they want Mariota more

He's a top 10 nfl quarterback and he meshes well with wiz. Idk how stupid it would be. It helps us win more now than any other scenario.

Sorry I dont think rebuilding teams should give up #2 overall picks. If we got their #17 pick as well ok but not straight up.

Shaub was andy Dalton and Matt stafford. He looked good because he had one of the best WR's in the league to throw to. Even though they had good teams the quarterbacks just aren't good enough to get them past the best teams.

That's why I don't want to take a chance with mett because even if we build the rest of the team up, if our qb isn't good enough it won't matter. See Kerry collins and vince young Era. Badass teams, basic qbs...

stick phillip rivers on one of those teams and they are super bowl contenders though.

Just depends really. If we get offered a kings ransom for our pick it will be hard to pass up. What I do know is that we aren't as high on Williams as many may think. It may not be popular but if for some crazy reason the bucs pass on Winston and we don't trade down he would likey be the pick from what I've heard. Winston will go #1 to the bucs tho so I don't see him being an option for us. I would honestly not be surprised if we took fowler at 2
