Later rounds? Sure. I wouldn't be against anything after round 4 but the Titans need to nail these first few picks.

EXACTLY...I remember Suh and McCoy were the two top DT's in the draft. Not saying McCoy is a bust, but I really haven't heard much from him since he was drafted. Every single draft pick has a major bust component to it. Mariota is no more of a bust risk than any other player we could take, and it happens to be at the most critical position on the entire team.

An elite QB is worth 5 elite players at other positions, that's why they tend to get drafted first and make the biggest bank when they pan out. People knock RGIII as a bust, but they forget he was the Offensive Rookie of the Year, over Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson. The guy has elite ability in him. He's just in a bad situation, with not a lot of talent around him, and it really falls onto the coaching staff to get that rookie level performance back out of him.

I would submit that they could take a bit step in that direction, by getting him some elite WR help. Take Kevin White or Cooper, and RGIII should have the weapons he needs to return to form. I say all of this because too many yahoos claim Mariota is another RGIII. Story ain't over for the man. Give him something to work with and fit the offense to him rather than try to force him into one that doesn't fit.

Same will apply to Mariota. Not saying Whisenhunt has to suddenly run the spread, but he needs to use his skills from time to time to keep defenses honest and make them worry about his running ability. Just like McNair did. He was effectively a big running back who could pass very well. You just emphasize him getting down and avoiding the big hits.

I would argue that trading for Rivers is the best option for a rebuilding team. He should still have a good 3-4 yrs, at the very least, left in the tank. That gives you plenty of time to draft a replacement while still remaining competitive on a yearly basis.

Haters are gonna hate....it's what you do.

The game was very close late in the 3rd Qtr...and you haters forget that Mariota had 2 of his best WR's suspended from the game and Oregon's best CB was injured late in the season. So, that would naturally affect the outcome to some degree. Didn't help that the backup WR's dropped some critical passes, that hit them in the breadbasket.

I personally don't care whether Oregon lost or not. I wanted us to draft Mariota well before the playoffs. In fact, I was pulling for FSU in that Rose Bowl, because I wanted Tampa to be more impressed with Winston than Mariota...so we would have a legit shot at MM.

Funny you only show images that make fun of the guy, when he could be our Russell Wilson in a matter of months, and here you are trashing the guy like haters do.

If he is, the media sure have a way of keeping his "being one of the best" a good secret, cause I almost never ever hear his name mentioned...not in any articles, interviews, highlights, etc. Conversely, you hear Suh mentioned/talked about all the time.

McCoy is talked about quite frequently actually. He's actually performed better overall than Suh has.

Since he was drafted, I've heard his name mentioned very, very little. In fact, I haven't so much as seen a highlight of him or an interview on the NFL Network, ESPN, etc. ever. Only heard his name mentioned among those TB has on defense. Albert Haynesworth was a great DT, but he didn't really make a lot of noise in the league until his contract year, then the Redskins showed him the money, asked him to play a 3-4 NT...a position he has never played in his life....and he laid it down.

Not saying McCoy is = Haynesworth, but the point is, just having one to two good seasons and a big payday doesn't mean you're = Suh, either.
