    In a fairy tale world we draft a franchise QB at 2, but we live in a time where QB is king and draft picks are a shot in the dark. I'm sorry for wanting better than what we've had that last 10 years. But here's to whoever our QB is, I'm not saying we're doomed without Rivers, just a lot worse off tomorrow :toast:

    I'm still holding out hope that the Bucs are creating a smoke screen in hopes of getting someone to bite and try to trade up. Hopefully this is true and they have no intentions of taking Winston.

    Apparently a guy who doesn't rank top 5 in anything positive is a top 5 QB.

    A not-top 5 QB that you give up (what should be) a 10+ year franchise player for a (guaranteed, at best) 4 year (at worst, 1 year) player and surround him with a team that has a pretty crap O-Line and no offense and a defense that is barely passable.

    Yeah, great idea. Sell the future of this team so we can, maybe, get to .500 for a couple of years.

    haha I gladly do that too, but from what i've seen... it'll cost us #2 + additional picks for Rivers. If that's the case, hell no.

    Hey, winning cures everything right? Give us phillip rivers for a few seasons and maybe the culture change alone will make us a winner even after rivers' short lived time in TN.
