I will not give up on getting Rivers until pick 3 is on the clock. It's the shot in the arm this team needs to get out of the gutter. May not be instant contenders, but if we can build a decent team around him 2-4 years we have a hell of a lot better chance. Can also groom Mett or another young qb to take over when he leaves Rodgers style.

I probably wouldn't mind giving up picks to get Rivers, but not this year even though I hate the guy. We def. need some studs on defense. This draft is filled with them. I say stack the defense, get a offensive playmaker and a legit OL in the draft. Let's roll with Mett this year.

If we want to pursue Rivers next year, let's hope chargers franchise him instead of giving him a multi year extension ( i doubt because of his age unless he blows up this season). We then can make an offer hopefully good enough where chargers don't counter.

I've been saying that I'm ready to roll with Mett Life, but if we can get Rivers for more than just straight up #2 then we roll with him and let Mett learn from a real pro. He may start to cry a lot like Rivers but that's something I'm willing to accept.

When youre among the league leaders in attempts youre bound to have a lot of interceptions. Lets not act like his 18 are all that far from Lucks 16, and Brees' 17,

INT's are one of the most misleading stats for QB's as some are deflected passes or the WR runs wrong route and the turnover isn't entirely on the QB.
In saying that yards passed are misleading as well due to YAC so I guess it all evens out :)

I would love to see Rivers come and lead our team.. if you look last year he was on path to be MVP, then their running game was lost for the year and some other pieces fell as well.. I'm all aboard the Rivers train..

With more tds, less sacks and less fumbles, a better overall record and way less talent around him. Don't compare rivers to cutler.
