    I don't flip flop.

My takes are concrete and not just fanboy theories.

    • Zach Mettenberger has not done enough to warrant the support he has gained from a large segment of this fanbase. It is ridiculous.
    • Zach Mettenberger's stats are nothing to be excited about. They are average. Tape don't lie.
    • Zach Mettenberger was a 6th round QB and teams do not invest in 6th round QBs. They certainly don't hand them the keys outside of Tom Brady.
    • Marcus Mariota's value is higher than Zach Mettenberger's at this point.
    • This franchise is starved for a legitimate QB. Teams in positions to take franchise QBs do so when they don't have one.
    • There are legitimate concerns about Leonard Williams. He is not the caliber of player you hope to land at #2.
    • Trading back is ideal at this point. Multiple picks are worth more to Tennessee than any of these quarterbacks.

So we just have a 6 round loser and cbj....and teams take qbs at two because they should and have to when they don't have a qb....yet trading back and not getting mariota is best scenario.

    Flippy floppy mid post.

Trading back is my opinion idgit. We'd be dumb to turn down a Rams type deal. Anyone would.

The rest are the reasons why they probably will pull the trigger on a QB.

IMO there is two options at qb week 1. Mett or rivers. And since teams trade franchise qbs about as often as teams hand the keys and invest in a sixth round pick...I'd bet its mett.

This board is about opinions . Every one has their own. Wrong to say someone stupid or dumb because they think a certain way. All have the right to feel and think as they should.

I suspect that if Winston falls to us we take him.

If Mariota is the option... I don't know. Maybe we take him? I agree with the general sentiment that trading is likely the best option, but it had better be a blockbuster trade and not some weak crap. That said, Webster has a pretty bad history of making horrible picks when the pick isn't completely obvious, so how valuable multiple picks later in the first would turn out to be is anybody's guess.

I still think LW is the safest pick for us, and if I was Webster I'd probably be trying to play it safe this go round. One more strike and he's likely out of a job.
