I debated making this a thread, but he was a hell of a player. I was fortunate to watch him play live. Sure Hall of Famer!

This is a great reason for a thread D, Troy was bigger than life for a long time, remarkable player. I always said John Lynch was the best SS in modern football history, but Troy Polamalu was an animal I hated having to play most years.

I mean really, what Titans fan will ever forget this play? I know I sure wont.

Agreed. It will be sad not seeing highlights of "the hair" busting shlt up. He was a landmark player. The game will feel a bit different with him gone. I'm glad he retired on his own terms.

Congrats to Troy on an amazing career. That yellow jacket will be well deserved.

He played with a reckless abandonment, its good he's walking away with limited injuries, guy made so many acrobatic plays Im shocked he never really injured himself seriously. Outside some minor everyday stuff he was pretty much healthy all the way til the end.
