Titans can beat anyone in a literal sense.. But in reality, not likely.

Predators have beaten some of the best this season. And they are a playoff team.

I'm going to venture a guess of a 1st or 2nd round exit.. But at least the Preds have a chance of success... While the titans are irrelevant, even to their own fans.

There is no great team in the central division. The blues ALWAYS fall apart in the playoffs... The jets and Wild are completely untested.. And the Blackhawks are missing their best player.
Preds have a shot. And after the last two seasons, I am thrilled with that.

everyone wrote the Blackhawks off after Kane got injured. The Blackhawks still had a chance to win the division if they had beat the Blues the last 2 games. Both games were close enough that either team could have won the game but the Blues did
Kane is out until May 20th and that is after the two rounds of the playoffs

Don't underestimate the Blackhawks even without Kane

I never underestimate them.. They just are not as solid as in years past. Every team is beatable. Hawks are, of course, a threat in the playoffs.. Which is why I wouldn't be surprised if they dominate the Preds in the playoffs.. but they are as vulnerable as anyone else. There is no dominant team in the West (besides Anaheim) and everyone is pretty much on equal footing.

The Blues have impressive numbers in the point column.. but we all know what their fate is.. unless they can finally break it after almost 50 years of being great, but not great enough.

I think the Wild could beat the Blues or Hawks in a playoff series at this point. They are peaking at the right time.

If the Hawks get creamed in the first round, or win the Stanley Cup.. I wouldn't be surprised. They have been horrible down the stretch... but all bets are off in playoff time. I don't sleep on any team in the West. The only one I truly expect to flop is the Blues. Jets would also be a surprise if they can make any noise.

But I'll be rooting against the Blackhawks, no matter who they're playing, by default.

But, believe me.. there is nobody overlooking the hawks at this point. Perennial contenders never get overlooked, even if they barely make it in, like the Red Wings. The Kings didn't make it, but if they did.. they'd automatically get respect.

you make some good points so you get a high 5 for it. When you look at who has won the Stanley Cup for the past 5 yrs it is Kings and Hawks twice with Bruins slipping in there 4 yrs ago. Based on the Kings winning last yr, the Hawks the previous yr then the Kings again it is time for the Hawks to win it again. Got to keep that streak going between them .

The Blues haven't been to the finals since 1968, 1969 and 1970 and lost all 3 times.

If the preds ever moved, the Blues would be the closest team to me. Being a Titans fan, I don't want to adopt another team who can never ever get it done. I can never be a Blues fan. They are embarrassing. One of the most effective regular season teams.. yet always on the verge of bankruptcy, and never can get it done in the playoffs. They are less of a joke than the Titans , but still a joke. They are the Houston Oilers of the NHL.

A guy at work know I am a Hawks fan. He asked if the Hawks lose in the playoffs and the Preds are still in it would I become a Preds fan. My answer was short and to the point.....Hell No.

you are one of the few non bandwagon Hawks fans. I wouldn't expect you to jump on a preds bandwagon.

I wish the Preds were heading into the playoffs hotter.

That's what I'm saying... We're going into the playoffs ice cold and that makes it hard for me to expect much.

I hope we beat Dallas tomorrow, but we are locked into a #2 seed either way. So I'd think we would rest Pekka and a ton of other guys.

I hope we play Chicago... Not saying we'd be able to beat them, but I want no part of Minnesota.

Franson and Santorelli... That damn trade. We've been horrible since it went down.

We have to actually pull for the Hawks to win tomorrow and/or cheer against the Wild.

    Playoff question...

Let's just say every series in the west is decided in 4 games, and every series in the east goes 7 games. Will they start round 2 for one conference before the other has finished round 1?
