Mett our guy? Possibly poor mans Tom Brady?

Draft can't get here soon enough. It's been a long time since there's been this much intrigue and speculation over our pick. I still just keep going back to the fact that I can't see Whisenhunt and Webster tying their future job security, and credibility, to a 6th round pick who won zero games last year. "Liking" Mettenberger is totally different than believing he is the guy and handing him the keys to the franchise.

As for Climer, I take everything he says with the same amount of credibility as something from BleacherReport. He's wrong A LOT.

 

Zach Mettenberger sucks.

Marcus Mariota will suck.

2015 is going be a long season.

They don't have to be sold on him. He just had to show enough promise to decide whether to build around him or not.

He did that. His biggest knocks were half truths.

His biggest knock was he is a sixth round pick....predraft he was rated much higher, thank goodness for a diluted pee test!

And he takes too many sacks...when he only for sacked 1% more while under pressure than the amazing mariNOta
And that he's a statue who hold the ball too long....when he got the ball out faster than half the league last year...people just see sixth round pick and won't give him credit till he brings us big wins....which is fine I understand, but just cuz the team sucked as a whole last year doesn't mean he doesn't have good to great potential.

 

Or a "poor mans" Marc Bulger -- also taken sixth round of the same draft as Brady.

 

His biggest knock is that he cannot anticipate receivers being open and as a result takes too long to throw. And he was about a 4th round prospect before the piss test.

really....dont lie to yourself. yes to some he was a 4 round prospect...to others a second...and thats with the acl. who knows where he could of went with no injury and no failed drug test.

his only real knock is his injuries....maybe he goes matt stafford maybe jake locker...still worth finding out in me eyes.

honestly...if our d coulda tackled leveon bell in the fourth quarter we very well
could of won that game without him doing much else....and all these "he didnt win a game" people wouldnt have that against him, and likely see him in a much bettter light, again, without him doing anything more in that game and exactly the same the rest of the season.
