well it all depends on the qb...i dont believe in just taking a qb for the sake of taking qb...unless its a mid round guy.

Missing on a top QB/draft pick does not set you back like it used to because of the rookie salary cap. You can much more easily move on if you realize things aren't going to work out.

I'm with the take a QB or trade down.

Williams got the early hype and I'm sure he is impressive in the eye test, but his lack of burst/explosion as evidenced by his average broad jump and vertical are a big red flag to me. Not saying he isn't going to be a solid player. Just saying he doesn't have the explosiveness to really be a stud impact player.

Not drafting Williams would be one of the stupidest things this franchise has ever done and any fan that disagrees is a football moron. END OF STORY.

missing qb doesnt set you back cuz of salary cap blah blah blah. i give two ***** about these billionairees money, i care about the on field product which will suffer for years due to being stuck with a high draft pick.

Every year. EVERY ****ING YEAR there is a thread about drafting a WR in the first.

I really should have seen this coming. I don't know why I was blindsided this morning.

I'm at a loss too. I said it months ago, we shouldn't take a wr until rounds 3-5 at the earliest.

What's your beef with going WR early?

Kendall Wright - no more than a "good" slot guy, contract year
Justin Hunter - hasn't proved anything since we used a 2nd, 3rd, and 7th for him
Harry Douglas - another average (overpaid) WR, who's 30

... and that's our WR core. Great.
