No offense, but what were they doing then, exactly? Was it not an "optimal time" to draft a QB then? I dont call that playing it safe. I call it trying to find a QB and failing, twice in a row.

 

Slh played 588 snaps last year. Roughly the same as ngata. Wilfork played 800 some snaps. Why cause Vince is a beast and if you get a nt that is a beast he stays on the field longer. I definitely would put NT ahead of. Third cornerback in terms of importance. Turn on the Pitt game. We win if we can stop the run. I wouldn't mind Shelton at all.

People want Leonard Williams so bad. How about Ropati who he would replace played 390 snaps. Would Williams play more than that? Probably because he's a better player. Now I don't want Williams but what I'm saying is you play more snaps if you are good regardless of position. If jj watt was on the other side of Casey you think he gets 390 snaps. Hell no he hardly comes off the field cause you keep your best players on the field the majority of the time. At no point is a 3cb going to be a top must play defender that's why he's a number 3cb and not 1 or 2. The whole snap argument is bs cause good players play other players come off the field depending on situations in attempt to hide a weakness. If a player has little weakness he ain't coming off like watt or wilfork.

 

Honestly probably one of the least impressive highlight reels. I think he's good but I don't get the fascination

 

Not elite but excellent player. As good as Jurrell Casey, if not a little better.

 

The more I watch Leonard Williams, the more I get off his bandwagon. I'm starting to think he's Tyson Jackson 2.0. I don't think he'll bust as bad as Tyson did (based off draft position), but I don't think he's this All-Pro that a lot of people believe.

I'd honestly prefer a trade down or taking Mariota/Winston over LW.

I think this entire organization is feeling some heat, and they know a DE isn't going to put people in the seats. I just can't expect to see LP full trotting out Mett again and a relatively calm off season.

Exactly. Highlight reels hardly tell the story which makes me worry all the more cause LW has a hardly impressive highlight reel where he makes a bunch of clean up tackles.

 

I mean, Wiz is going to get an INSANE amount of criticism if he passes on a QB. Especially if that QB goes on to have a good season or two. He is already getting a fair amount of criticism now, if you have to have to certain type of QB to run your system, is your system really all that good?

I am really starting to get the feeling we take a QB here. We addressed the linebacker position well enough that we shouldn't take one at 2. LW is losing a bit of hype plus he would be a 3-4 end. As much as I want them to move on from Hunter, they are likely going to give him another year.

Don't be surprised if QB is what is taken at 2 in a few weeks.
