I think before we crucify him, give him a chance... He is a man who knows what he wants and when he gets that piece he can turn it into something great.. He Carries himself well and is professional in all he does on and off the field.. The boat had sunk when he came in.. Give the guy a chance is all I'm saying.

Whiz is trying to get "his guy". He knows he can't develop young QBs, despite popular media belief.

The Art of Negotiation....the Chargers are obviously going to leak some absurd trade demand and that in their mind is the starting point for them....the Titans will act like they have tons of other offers and will counter with something much less...all I know is the fact that the Chargers sent every important person to watch Mariota in a private workout certainly helps the Titans cause in regards to a trade down....the more teams with interest the better.

The point was that is what the Chargers are asking for, not what they're going to get. Obviously nobody is giving 2, 1st round picks for a 33 year old QB. If you were paying attention to anyone with credibility about this trade, Rivers + #17 aint happening.

Schefter is the guy to break news for the NFL and I'll take what he says over message board conjecture.

I don't see why we should trade with San Diego unless we absolutely steal from them. We are most likely the only team that will trade for him. If we don't, we can sign him as a FA next year if Mett doesn't work out. He wont move to LA. That's the route I go.

As far as this draft. The Jets make the most sense. If we trade back, that means we are going all in with Mett. If we do that, we need to get him some new/better weapons to work with. That is White/Cooper. Seems as if White is going to Oakland at 4 which leaves us with Cooper. Perfect. Whiz loves guys that run perfect routes and are explosive (Larry Fitz), that's Cooper to a T. Our defense has improved in FA and LeBeau and will have 2 second round picks to continue that, but we need offensive help. Cooper will give is a threat D has to account for. Him and a hopefully improved Hunter on the outside with Wright and Walker across the middle is a formable WR corp. We need to help him help us. This is how we do that.

Yes and they are going to ask for more than they can get. Not sure why we need to remove an option because of it.
