I wouldn't take any trade with a qb involved unless they are just dumping the player. I give very little value to foles or cutler via trade (a 5th round at most) and with rivers age i wouldn't give more than a 3rd and a 5th for him. We need to stick with mett or draft a qb at 2. If we stick with mett we need ti trade down and load up picks, i would prefer to stay in the top 10 if we trade. But, would be happy with the browns scenario. If we aren't rolling with mett then its winston or mariota at 2.

I like Rivers however I say if they are going to act like that.. Let him play his last year there and watch them go down in flames after he walks away at the end of the year.. If anything we should get two first round pick.. I would rather take Cutler and get the 7th pick.. Then all this crap I'm hearing about Rivers..

If we trade back or even sit there and pass on a qb entirely I wouldn't hate giving Chicago a sixth for cutler to at least compete with mett.

That is waaaay too much for Cutler. His contract is horrible and that's the main reason the Bears want to get rid of him, and we'd have to take it on. They were saying on the radio all it would take would be a 5th or 6th round pick to get him, but even for that I don't want his attitude infecting this locker room. #2 isn't in play at all for Cutler.

What if the Bears pay on some of that money owed to Cutler? Then we get a QB to compete wit Mett. And a top pick..

If they think they could keep Cutler and his attitude in check, I wouldn't mind that. But even in that scenario it still wouldn't take #2 to get him.

This isn't baseball where teams trade cash in order to offset a cap hit. If we trade for Cutler then we are taking all of his cap hit unless it is a trade based on him restructuring his deal and why would he do that?

If the Chargers are reported as wanting 2 firsts, as you say is being reported, then they are in play for a trade and are saying that. 17 and Rivers for 2 is certainly in play. Our #2 pick is VERY valuable. Think about it, Browns 12 and 19 AND 2016 1st for our 2? Rivers and 17, and if offered, they just may bite.

    That's fine.

But at least get Rivers and their first. Not just Rivers.
