Seems mett gets a lot of respect...why would that be when he's just a trash ass 6 round pick who could never be more

I have one foot in the club. Sounds crazy but I'm not ready to build the franchise around Zach Mettenberger.

 

I wouldn't look at it as if we're building around Mett..I think give him some weapons..upgrade the line and if he fails or isn't what we thought then pieces are in place for next year...whether that's Rivers or draft pick
If we draft properly and the FA signings we could be a QB away from playoffs

 

If we pass on a QB at #2 then we're putting a lot of investment into Mettenberger. He could have an average season next year and still have a top 10 pick and we'll be in the same position again.

"Well if we passed on a QB at 2 last year then we should do it again next year since <insert favorable Mettenberger stat>."

It's a dangerous road imo. I personally rather just go Mariota but if the Titans don't see him as the guy then I'll be okay with Mett, just not ready for having these exact same conversations next year.

letting him run the team for a year is sink or swim for him, we aint building around him unless he performs well next year...

we dont have a better option, besides rivers....who i still would love to have but aint holding my breath

Absolutely no way.....I won't call you crazy, because I am sure people have though I am, and an opinion is an opinion....but no way do you trade up #2 value for a guy that is 33/34 with no weapons on a team, that will give you 2-3 solid years at most. It's just bad business. NOT when you can trade rob someone else and fill the multiple holes that we need. Now, if they did something like this NEXT year after looting a team for trades and filling holes/adding support, that would be a different story.
