    It's the ESPN page , bleacher report page and I've seen it at least twice from other sports links

    Maybe it's just people running with it being so close to the draft like Cruds pointed out.

    There's that..
    Supposing MM or Winston get drafted and they put up very similar numbers to Mett, there will be some that offer him far less criticism considering the circumstances - and likewise there will be folks that will say they had five games to prove themselves and they failed, we're doomed.
    Reality is that those first games on this team will be pretty hard to base much of anything off of - unless of course if say Winston totally blows up immediately.
    Or ends up in lockup for thuggin some seafood.

    According to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole, Philip Rivers believes the Chargers are "not going to pay him."
    In other words, Rivers forcing his way out of San Diego isn't just about relocation fears. Per Cole, the Chargers are "extraordinarily concerned" about Rivers' physical condition, as well, and will most likely package him in a deal for the Titans' No. 2 overall pick. Cole reports that Rivers would "love" to play out his career for the Titans and ex-Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt. The smoke continues to build toward a Bolts/Titans blockbuster, but it doesn't yet appear inevitable. Apr 16 - 4:16 PM

    i have nothing against Mariota. & if I were in desparate need:for a QB I would take him. But I wouldn't feel like I was in Desparate need if I had Mettenberger.

    If I thought Mariota or Winston were going to be special I'd jump all ober one of them. But I don't think either will be special. Pretty good maybe, but not special.

    You can win games with Mett. That's what Whiz needs to be worried about. It doesn't matter how Special Mariota or Winston may be. If Whiz can't win games with Mett he won't win a Super Bowl with Mariota.Mariota could be the next Brady, but you won't know it if you don't have a Super Bowl caliber team.
