Mel Kiper's 3-round Mock Draft

I really don't Strong as a prospect, but I doubt he falls to the 3rd. Somebody in the late 2nd would grab him, he'd be perfect for the Panther in round 2.

However, I could totally see us trading #33 down to a mid-2nd, picking up an extra 3rd, and drafting somebody like Devin Smith or Dorsett.

 

I like the WR from USC Ahholor. He might be there at 33 and is big time returner too.

 

Strong is a stud! He reminds me so much of Andre Johnson. Big frame, plucks the ball out of the air.

I'd be willing to put money that Smith & Dorsett both go in the 2nd, if not before. It would be nice to take them at the top of the 3rd, but I've seen mocks now with Smith going as high as late 1st.

 

Strong is a much better prospect than Smith and Dorsett. Not sure what Pedro is smoking!

 

strong is a beast...if asu had a decent qb hed have at least 5 more catched for 200 more yards alone vs u of a. dude just ran deep and was wide open allll game. literally noone could touch him, and the qb just threw ****** bombs. he still got a few of em..but i imagine if it was like that vs u of a then hed likely have at least 500 more yards in the season with 5-8 more tds.

id take him at 33 if we dont get a wr before then



and people say i dont want mariota cuz pac 12 bias...yet here i am hoping for an asu receiver.

 

I'll kinda just be like whatever if we take him. If we pass on Williams, he'll probably go to the Jags and be their Watt and Mariota will suck for us. If we pass on Mariota, he'll probably be a beast and Williams will suck.

That's life as a Titans fan. Always a lose/lose scenario.

But I'd go the safer route and just take Williams if we're forced to pick at #2.

Still holding out hope that we can trade back.

I meant drafting Smith or Dorsett at mid-2nd. I prefer Smith, reminds me of Desean Jackson.

I know exactly what i'm smoking. Anyways, not a fan of Strong. I'd take him in the 3rd, but would def stay away from him at #33.

I use to really like Jaelen Strong. The more I watched him, the less I liked. I'd give him a late 2nd-early 3rd round grade, but i'm sure a team will grab him in the mid-2nd. He's a solid 6'2 217, body reminds me of Dwayne Bowe - but he has 4.4 speed and a massive 42" vert. However, he catches the ball with his chest still - which they teach you not to do in junior high. He has straight end speed, but it takes a while for him to get going, no acceleration or agility. His route running is awful. Doesn't get separation. With that being said, all that can be fixed and you can't teach size. I think he could end up being very similar to Bowe, but he's a project. Not worthy of #33, now if we traded back (picked up an extra 3rd), i'd be alright taking him mid/late-2nd.
