Rumor Phillip Rivers would "love" to play out his career for the Titans and ex-Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt

The radio station should fire him immediately for saying something that stupid... The #2, #33, and next year's 1st rounder crap. Absolutely garbage to even suggest that. By saying that, you basically concede that you know nothing about the NFL, which is sad considering he's a sports radio guy. But then again, many of those guys are pretty clueless.

Rivers was maybe having an MVP season for the first half of the season... Then he sucked the second half.

 

We'd deserve it for not re-signing him this year.

If we do trade for him, it should be on the condition he has a new contract.

I'd love to have Rivers. That said, F*** giving up the #2 pick for him. If they want the #2 pick they'll have to give us way more than just Rivers.

The relocation to LA is not for sure is it? All this speculation is based on Rivers not wanting to relocate to a city that may not happen.

I think Mariota is going 1 anyway, if that's the case....is Winston worth the risk? Maybe a trade with Jets is better for us anyway. Winston could fall like Rodgers

 

Totally agree. I like the idea of Rivers coming here, but not so much that I am willing to lose my common sense about the value of the #2 pick. We need to work the various options against each other and work to get the best overall deal that we can.

To be clear, I honestly value the draft picks more than the QB, as I don't see us sniffing the playoffs next season regardless of the QB that we get in the package. The difference between Bradford, Cutler, and Rivers is probably the difference between 6 and 8 wins for the season IMO....it is the draft pick package that we should be more interested in.
