You hear that @Titan43, Im not the only one high on Bridgewater

I'd love to know which GM's need these extra weeks, then go smack them.

I understand somewhat because there is still buzz about fa in late March early April, but mid April seems very appropriate. I'm worn out reading and speculating about the same stuff for over a month. There really is nothing new going on, and any rumor is pure speculation. Teams don't talk to anyone a couple weeks before the draft.

Shefter just had an interesting thing to say. He said at the draft he was chatting with a couple Jags officials for about an hour before the draft started. Bortles name never came up in the conversation once.

Thats odd cause it was well known Jacksonville was going QB, even the owner came out and said they would be taking a QB

Probably... but they can push those back to earlier dates. Super Bowl ends the first week of February. We don't need more than two months between that and the draft.

Early April would probably be best. Like April 10.

You can always start FA earlier to get a move on things too.

Idk... but one way or another the draft needs to be at least two weeks earlier. Should've started yesterday.

The only benefit I see, is keeping rookies out of trouble. By the time contracts get settled camp is here and they can't cause any trouble with new money.

I hate the wait. Do it early April. I'm reading the same thing over and over with different ways of saying each situation on this forum. Ready to discuss something else besides...we could do this or that for #2 pick.

    Come on already.....:wall:

I see absolutely no reason for it to be this late.

I liked it better the earlier it comes. I hate the extra week or two of waiting. It's my favorite sporting event of the entire year and it sucks to wait that long.

Also, on a personal note, I have family members with birthdays the last two weeks of April, and I'm that guy who gets in trouble with everyone for not wanting and refusing to go because the draft is on. It makes my life easier when the draft is earlier.

I agree that he was the best QB in the draft last year ... but look who he was up against. Manziel (still have no idea how he got drafted in the 1st round) and Bortles (who was horrible).

All I said was that Teddy was not worth a the #2 overall pick, and I wouldn't take him above Jameis or Mariota.

I said he was a good QB, but not elite. I see his ceiling as a top 10-15 QB ... Above average, but not Elite. Not worth a top pick IMO.

But like I said before, lets bookmark this convo, and bring it back up at the end of the year. I will re-evaluate my stance on him at that point
