Not true. Going from #12 to #8 or #9 wouldn't cost more than a 4th.

Would maybe have to throw in a swap of 3rds also.

If possible I'd rather trade 19 and something to move back up if someone we likes falls. Maybe not back to top 10 but 13-15 range

I still really don't see the point in trading back up and losing pick(s) when we could just trade with Chicago in the survey scenario and get #7 and gaining picks. There is a possibility of Leonard Williams dropping to #7 or possibly Cooper or Fowler if the Raiders go with White and Washington bypasses either of the three. Williams would not be a major need for them. Jets need edge rusher help at #6, Washington needs everything at #5 including edge rusher since they lost Orakpo, and Oakland and Jacksonville both need edge rusher. Oakland and Jacksonville would be the major players for Williams and if not taken by them could easily fall to us at #7. Only way I could see Jets taking Williams if they are not planning on resigning Wilkerson, which I believe they will.

Also there is the possibility those teams may not want to trade down, especially with some prospects that will be left on the board and not just to pick up a 4th. Just because points wise it may work most teams are going to want good compensation to move down. Buffalo gave up a 1st and a 4th just to move up 5 spots to take Watkins. Using the trade value chart of their next year's first at a 2nd round value would have been more than enough compensation to move up 5 spots but still had to add their 4th. If you want a top 10 pick just don't trade out of the top 10 because there is no guarantee we could get back into the top 10 to grab someone like Williams or Cooper before they fell to teams that would draft them or would not trade out of their spots.

The Chicago trade even if you don't want or like Cutler just makes more sense than trading out of top 10 just to try and trade back up. Talent level from pick #19 to #33 isn't that much off and we still get #39 without giving up any other picks. Just like Cleveland's 2016 1st we get Chicago's 2016 1st and their 3rd.

The problem with this whole scenario with Chicago is that we get Cutler! No, just no.

Here's the wildest trade scenario yet:

The Eagles trade Bradford and a third to the Brownies for their first-round pick (#12). Then, they package that Browns #1 (#12) with their #1 (#20) along with their second-rounder (#52) and a first in 2016 so they can draft Mariota.

Just another 11 days to the draft.
