Rivers being here for 3-4 (possibly) years is not worth it. We are a super young team and are not JUST a qb away from winning. Rivers and his old ass won't bring us to the ship, we are rebuilding...wtf is the point of getting a super old veteran now. I wont be surprised when we do trade for him cause WHiz cant win with young qbs

(Not in favor of it) but ... I can see Rivers coming to TN now but most of our fears is it coming at the expense of just the number 2 pick. That screams Titans, panicking or jumping the gun and getting low-balled on the trade return ... Will see in the end but I'm bracing for a "Titans style move" as we usually seem to be underwhelmed by this franchise during Draft season.

everyone should recall what a ***** this guy is when things don't go his way.. and shocker: we aren't good.

would you really want to see him pitch a fit after every series for multiple seasons?

    no

I'd be fine with drafting Williams with the 2nd pick and seeing how Mett develops this season. That said, the Titans have to consider trading back if the offer is right. I wouldn't trade that pick for Rivers alone though.

Stupid decisions like this is what makes chronicly mediocre organizations. It makes no sense for the Titans to bring in a QB who only has 3 good years left because the Titans are a young rebuilding team. By the time the Titans are ready to contend Rivers will retire. The only purpose this accomplishes is saving Whiz and webs jobs short term. It's bad for the Titans long term success. Our void in strong ownership is making us vulnerable to bad decisions by people who have no investment in our long term future.

A Rivers trade will lead to 8 years of 8-8 records. Maybe one of those years we get lucky and go 9-7.

The proven model of rebuilding an NFL team is simple. When you have no clear answer at QB and a potential franchise QB is available you draft him (see aikman, mcnair, manning, luck).

Rivers and 17 for the number 2 pick sounds better than 12 and 19 from the Browns.

You realize either of those is getting trade raped. We would need way more than 12 and 19 from the Browns. Look at what Washington gave up to move only a few spots. Cleveland is moving 10 spots. Leave it to Ruston to get trolled with picks but seriously either option you just proposed is us getting bent over.

Rivers is old we are young. We are not just a QB away from being contenders. You either trade back and collect picks or take a young QB to build around. Not an aging QB whose going to be on his way out of the league by the time we should theoretically be contending. He has 2-3 years left we have 2-3 years left of rebuilding. Take the young guy or stock picks. Hope for the best and hopefully when he's in his prime hitting his stride so are we.
