    He's selfish but smart to ask for this now. He's playing at an elite level while Roethlisberger is still in his prime.

    His cap hit is $9.7m this season and jumps to $12m next season. They're still carrying a lot of pro-rated bonus on him though so any new deal would add to that and push his balloon cap hits just a season or 2 further into the future.

    If he waits 2 seasons Roethlisberger may be done and Brown could be the least of their problems by then.

    Big Ben unless hurt will be around beyond 2 more years, and agreed that this is the time to ask if you're Brown. He knows he's probably not repeating last years level of production, gotta ask while you can...

    Considering he's now essentially a top 5 WR (or at the very least top 10), his market value is much higher than that contract.

    Pay him more, Pissburgh... I always want the Ravens and Steelers too spend as much money on their players as possible.

    Just like I can't wait until the Colts have to make Andrew Luck the highest QB in the league.
