So, I know this isn't the NBA but just for fun what would a 5 team blockbuster trade look like involving the Eagles, Browns, Raiders, Vikings and Titans?

    An outline could involve:
    The Eagles getting Mariota
    The Browns getting Bradford
    The Raiders getting Adrien Peterson
The Vikes getting Demarco Murray and/or picks
The Titans getting the #4 plus more picks

I wonder if someone could come up with a pick swap scenario that could make this work so that everyone is happy. Yes this is a challenge to you gotitans readers. Submitted for your disapproval.

I think the Redskins could be another team that could make draft day interesting. After blowing the RG3 trade they're desperate to rebuild by trading out of their spot to gain picks.

    Ok @Dangermode , I will play.

I used the trade chart (below) which valued the #2 pick at 2600 points, and I would not let the Titans trade for less than that. Also, to keep it from getting out of hand, I only used the teams and players you mentioned above .

Step 1: Eagles trade Bradford and #20 to Browns for #19 and #12

Why this works: Browns have supposedly already offered a 1st round pick for Bradford. Now is their chance.

Step 2: Eagles trade Demarco and #12 to vikings for AP and #11

Why this works: Its obvious the AP and Vikings relationship is on the rocks. AP wants out, and no team wants a player that doesn't want to be there (even if he is one of the best). So when you have the chance to unload that player (AP) for an equal or better player (Demarco) then you take that opportunity. AP spent 1 year out of football and has baggage, while Demarco is arguably the best RB in the game right now, and is 3 years younger than AP. Its a no brainer for the Vikes to trade down just 1 spot for him

Step 3: Eagles trade #11, 52 and AP to Raiders for #4

Why this works: Eagles are in sight of that #2 pick, and they won't stop now. They trade #11 and #52 (worth 1630 points combined) for #4 (worth 1800 pts). AP is more than enough to make up the difference of 170 points

Step 4: Eagles trade #4, #19 to Titans for #2

Why this works: Pretty simple really #4+#19 is worth 2675 points, #2 is worth 2600 points. Its a fair deal to both sides, and both sides get what they want. Eagles in Mariota, and Titans pick up an extra 1st round pick. Plus they can still take an elite prospect at #4

The cap implications of trading Peterson and especially Murray would kill this. No one's gonna be able to find a way to make it work.

Eagles just shelled out $21M in guaranteed money for Murray, they're not moving him.

C'mon guys ... I was just playing by the rules that were handed to me in this thread.

Obviously there isn't going to be a 5 team trade in real life, so why worry about the money details ... it was just supposed to be a fun thought experiment.

There were 6 1st round trades in 2010, a 5 team trade is nuts tho, but 5 separate deals could go down with ease.

5 separate deals could be done in the 1st round, sure. For this deal to work though, it would have to be a 5 team trade.

There is no way the Eagles could orchestrate all of these trades during the 10 min that we have to make our #2 selection ... teams can barely get 1 trade done in that time.

Also, The Eagles wouldn't want to risk it either. If they get half way through their trades, and then some team backs out or won't trade with them, then they are screwed.

It would have to be a 5 team trade that was completely agreed to by everyone before the trigger was pulled.

    Cardinals get:
    Peterson from Vikings
    Rivers from Chargers
    Cardinals give up:
    Palmer/Fitzgerald, #24, #55, 2016 first round

    Vikings get:
    Matthews, #52, 2016 2nd round from Eagles
    Vikings give up:
    Peterson

    Chargers get:
    Bradford and #20 from Eagles
    Chargers give up:
    Rivers

    Titans get:
    Palmer/Fitzgerald, #24, #55, 2016 first round from Cardinals
    Titans give up:
    #2, #100

    Eagles get:
    #2 and #100 from Titans
    Eagles give up:
    Bradford, Matthews, #20, #52, 2016 2nd round

Cardinals attempt their Superbowl run with upgrade at QB/RB.

Vikings get a great exchange for AP given the circumstances.

Chargers get a QB stopgap and an extra first round pick.

Titans get respectability at QB/WR (great mentors at that), move way down in 1st but get an additional 2nd and future first rounder.

Eagles get Mariota without mortgaging the entire future.

    Why not???
