I agree with most of you points and I totally see your point except for these couple bits that you mentioned. Isn't it a good thing not to be a gun slinger so that he doesn't throw his arm out. Plus maybe it's not a bad thing to be labeled with one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.

On health, hasn't Rivers started every game since he took over the starting job in 06?

    • He hasn't missed a game since taking over the starting job at the start of the 2006 season. That's 144 consecutive starts. He and Eli Manning are the only two quarterbacks with no games missed in that time.

Your other points are good, I just disagree with the idea that having the strongest arm in the NFL makes you a great QB... Manning's career is still going fine, I think Rivers will be going strong at 38 or 39.

I have a bad feeling that titans are going to get rivers, for way to much.

We are going to get Rivers and give up not just #2, but more. We will give him a new contract with some good guaranteed money. He will get injured (back) in the first 4 games of the season and will RETIRE.

That is what will happen if we trade for Rivers.

It makes sense from a "win now" standpoint for Whis and co, but absolutely ZERO sense otherwise. 34, no weapons, and they need a starting WR and RT. They need to trade back or star at 2, plain and simple.

I do think that, if this trade happens and we don't get compensentory draft picks in addition to Rivers, the rope on both Whis and Webster becomes extremely short, as it should. That is the only potential silver lining that I would see in such an idiotic move....

I don't think they do it for anymore than a swap of firsts.don't think it happens at all.
