Brandon Boykin for a 4th RD Pick

    I remember wanting Brandon Boykin in the 2012 draft once it got into the middle rounds, the Titans went with Coty Sensabaugh instead, a few selections later Philadelphia selected Boykin.

    Boykin has 7 career picks including one vs Mettenbeger last year (Sensabugh has 0 career picks). Although not totally fair to compare the two as they play different positions and Sensabugh didn't start right away.

    None-the-less from reports I've seen is Boykin wants more playing time on the outside as a starting corner; while Chip has largely used him as an inside slot man. His size which is obviously a smaller frame probably suits him a lot better as a slot man but would anyone still be interested in Boykin for a 4th round pick?

    Honestly would a 4th round pick be better than Boykin? The way the Titans draft I would take my chances on a veteran corner who proved he can play in this league instead of a shot in the dark at a 4th round pick who may or may not pan out?

    I realize Boykin would not be ideal on the outside vs bigger receivers but he would automatically fill a need at corner depth at the risk of a mid round investment pick.

    Either way even if it says Chip Kelly doesnt plan on trading him at the moment doesnt mean he wont - he seems willing to part with anybody and everybody. At the very least IF there is a Philaldephia trade with Tennessee to move up in draft I'm sure they could sweeten the deal a bit for the Titans and just throw Boykin in the deal. It's all hypothetical at this point but since I was hoping they drafted him back in 2012 and now seeing this rumor / news I thought it was relevant.

    Boykin isn't an upgrade over McCourty or Cox and Sensabaugh played well for us this season so Boykin does not upgrade our team but so much. I'd rather grab a guy in the 4th that we have control over for a few years.

    I doubt we draft a CB this year, that 4th Rd pick could go for a RB or WR which we need more than Boykin.

    Brandon Boykin for a 4th would be a nice move. He's been good, and after McCourty and Cox we're extremely thin at CB.

    Without adding Boykin or a rookie, are we really rolling into 2015 with Wreh-Wilson, Sensabaugh, and Huff again as the back-ups? I mean at best all those guys are 2nd and 3rd stringers, what happens if Cox or McCourty is injured?

    I say this would be a move worth making, secure a proven player. I always hate waiting on rookie DB's to come around, this avoids experiencing more growing pains..

    He can return kicks too. I'd make this a draft day trade if i were to do it. Wait and see whos there in the 4th before i make the trade.
