My issue with the Sankey pick was that you have to take advantage of the depth of the draft at certain positions. It was known to be a deep draft at RB...the RBs are all falling...so why do you take one in the 2nd when you know that a guy of very similar talent is going to be their in the 4th or 5th rnd.

Although I would love Gurley at #33, I just can't take another RB high in this draft. Again a fairly deep draft at RB and we just used a 2nd on one last year. We shouldn't consider RB until the later rnds unless we have traded down from #2 and landed several extra picks.

Thoughts on Mike Davis? Would love him in the 4th.

Short & stocky frame, loves his decisive one-cut running. Runs through contact and has a great stiff arm. Still has the agility to make cuts and run away from defenders. Plus, he's solid catching out of the backfield. Reminds me of a young Maurice Jones-Drew.

Gotta say you're right about the depth and getting a good value, but dont play Sankey, he's not a 5th rounder. Most likely a 3rd if we re-do that draft. Im still holding out hope he proves his worth.

I would have loved the Sankey pick if Hill wasn't sitting there....That said, if we add a guy like Hyde or Hill that can run in between the tackles, I think he could be nasty.

There's so many backs I love it's hard to rank them:

    1: Gurley
    2: Gordon
    3: Coleman
    4: Ajayi
    5: Yeldon
    6: Abdullah
    7: Mike Davis
    8: Buck Allen

Give me one of those guys and I'd be happy

    @Shane Wright

I like Ajayi a lot more now than I previously did... and he's gonna go in the 2nd round, no doubt. Some have even said he could go in the 1st, although I don't see that happening. My biggest issue with him is ball control. And that's a big issue. If he fixes that, I could see him being an elite RB.

I still would not take him at #33. Gurley or Gordon only at #33... and they're both gonna be gone, no doubt. So no RB in the 2nd still... unless we acquire more picks.

I'd put him at #3 or #4... right there with Ajayi. 2nd round RB. Hard to rank them after that IMO. Although I haven't seen many of the others closely enough.

Very possible Ajaji falls. Big concerns regarding his knee/knees? In the long term. Ready to play now but complications on the horizon is what I've been reading.

Would be an awesome 4th? 5TH?! Round steal imo. Even if he only lasts a few seasons at a high level. He is a running back after all. And they are the cheapest commodity in the NFL.
