I'm expecting a trade out now. I suspect the Jets will be in there but theres an uncomfortable in the back of my mind about Pornstache hosing us in a crappy deal if we do go that way.

Really sad that Williams won't be our pick. I have a feeling we will trade out of #33 too.

I'd like it to be a defense heavy draft but it strikes me that if we get a first-rounder as part of our deal then it may be that we may take a playmaking home-run guy like Gurley or one of the top WR's before we build the D on multiple picks.

Idk why everyone thinks defense is that big of a need. Sure we need more playmakers. However, the defense was usually strong the 1st quarter or so. A defense can only take an offense going 3 and out so many times before they get tired and worn down.

I'd rather go offense early and D later on to fill depth etc. I think this offense needs a spark whether it's QB, WR or RB but a playmaker needs added. RT is needed as well. I'd like Daryl Williams, he looks like a mean SOB lol

I think that our needs on D are more targeted. Really need a good NT for the 3-4 for example. Also, I would like to see us backfill some spots in the secondary.

I do agree that our anemic offense was partially responsible for the poor defensive performance last year, but part of the problem was also that we did not have enough 3-4 savvy folks to play the 3-4.

I think we are going to trade out, and end up getting a weak trade. Lot of reports/rumors going around about us taking Mariota, but I just don't see it with Wiz and Co. They are playing smoke and mirrors seeing if they can get a trade and this fake interest is going to fade once people realize 10minutes went off the clock and Mariota is still there.

NT can be had late in the draft. I also think Horton is to high on SLH to draft anyone early.

The only position I could see that a rookie could win on defense would be the 3-4 end opposite of Casey. I like Davis in the 2nd for that or Anderson in the 3rd-4th range.

However, I could easily see a new QB, RB, WR coming in and starting day 1 for this organization.

No disagreement on NT late....and hope Horton is right on Hill. I still think we need help at the position.

We could use some starters on defense, starting at both safety positions, and at OLB because I am not high on Morgan.

What the defense really needs is depth, at about every position.
