nwhat the titans need is to get two teams or more bidding against each other. if i am an opposing gm i have a hard time believing the titans would take mariota while trying to trade him

Mett winning the fan polls isn't surprising.

    1. There are some fans that truly want Mett as the starter

    (and the bigger chunk)

    2. Others are assuming if Mett is our QB then a trade happened

Titans are trying to start a bidding war, hopefully it works.. but I'm not so sure it will.

Jets - Have Geno Smith, who definitely has struggled, but is still young. That defense is improved (Revis, Skrine) and they added Brandon Marshall on O. At 6 they can go OLB or WR. Mariota is definitely better than Geno, but is he worth the Titan demands?

CLE - Say what you want about Johnny, he was just a 1st rounder last year, and he's a heisman winner. The kid has some talent, even knuckle heads like VY could string some Ws together. Adding 12 + 19 to CLE makes them that much Better. Although they've been open about adding another QB.

PHI - Bradford is the future, not enough assets to move up from 20.

Wilcards: CHI too much invested in Cutler. ATL (for D), plenty of prospects should be available at 8.

Frankly, at this point, everyone is calling every team to gauge what it would take to move up or move down because each team wants to know its options. Some teams know they will get only 1 of a handful of players they want so are less likely to move or it will cost a lot.

Every team is willing to move someone or a draft pick for the right price with only a few exceptions. It is perfectly reasonable for the Titans to be saying they like Mariota but would also listen to trade offers. Heck, the Bucs are doing the same thing without even mentioning Winston (they are comfortable with the guy they will take). It's not rocket science to understand that no one sees Winston or Mariota as the best player in this draft so would they consider giving up the #2 pick for a giant trade down? Probably. If it was Andrew Luck? No. But neither QB is that.

I am certain the Jets are pretty interested to see what it would cost to move up to #1 or #2 though not what they'd be willing to spend to get there.

Teams have to be working the phones at least asking others what it'll take.

I don't think the Browns would give up what it takes to move up to #2 to draft their second QB in as many seasons.

The Browns got a first and fourth-round pick for allowing the Bills to trade up just five spots in the first round last draft. That first-rounder became a #19 in this draft.

Packaging the #12 and #19 this year, and a first-rounder next season, isn't enough, IMO. I think it would take a first-rounder in 2017 and/or possibly a couple of second-rounders.

They'd give up on Manziel? No way. I think they'd package their picks to move up for one of the top WRs and they don't need to go above #5 to do that.
