Anyone brave enough to put up their big board for round 1 and round 2 players (meaning players you think are rnd 1 or rnd 2 rated picks...not who you think will be selected there). We have heard people say this class has between 10-20 1st rnd picks and a pretty deep round 2. Let's see what you guys think. Please list players by name and position and if you want to, a grade or list them in rated order by round. I will list mine tomorrow if I get a chance during the day.
Here is mine....only did first rnd Winston Mariota Beasley Leonard Williams Fowler Cooper Shelton White Dupree Gurley Green-Beckham Ray Parker Flowers Kevin Johnson Scherff Waynes Malcolm Brown Armstead Perriman Fisher Marcus Peters Erving Gordon Peat Goldman Collins Dorsett Quinton Rollins Byron Jones DJ Humphries Kendricks that is my top 32...have at it
1. Winston 2. Mariota 3. Cooper 4. White 5. Williams 6. Beasley 7. Shelton 8. Parker 9. Fowler 10. Gurley 11. Ray 12. Scherff 13. Waynes 14. Perriman 15. Dupree That's my top 15 anyway. I hope we don't trade lower than that.
EDGE Beasley EDGE Ray EDGE Dupree EDGE Fowler WR DParker WR KWhite RB Gurley WR ACooper CB TWaynes CB KJohnson NT DShelton DE LWilliams OT/OG LCollins OG BScherff RB MGordon WR PDorsett QB Mariota QB Winston 18 players, not in order
My top 10 for round 2: Randy Gregory Jaelen Strong Owamagbe Odighizuwa Eli Harold Dorial Green-Beckham Devin Smith Eric Kendricks Landon Collins Jake Fisher TJ Clemmings So many options... trading back would once again be my first choice because rounds 2-3 are deep, and we could use the extra picks. I don't even like Gregory, but I feel like his potential is just too good to pass on at a certain point in the 2nd round. Hopefully someone offers us a good deal for pick #33.
2nd rnd Graded Players The strength of this draft is WR, RB, and OL at this point...things we need. In the next 2-3 rounds are WR, RB, OT but we could also grab an excellent D player too. Best players for rnd 2 are....(* are favs) WR TLockett* WR DSmith* WR DGB - if his character issues keep him rated this high OT LaelCollins* OT JFisher* OT DonSmith* EDGE EHarold* ILB EKendricks* NT EGoldman* NT/DE CDavis* DE MBennett* DE HAnderson CB/SQRollins CB/S ERowe CB PJWilliams* CB SNelson* RB TJYeldon RB TColeman OG AJCann* OG TJackson Lael Collins (1st rnd grade) - will be interesting if anyone drafts him based on current investigation in LA. If my security ppl had reasonable doubt that he was involved, I'd spent a later round pick on him once I got my needs covered. Say a 5th rndr. Could get a 1st rnd OT/OG!
Unless they absolutely love one of the WR's or OT's, they should trade down for another 3rd. Then we can get OT, WR, RB or skip RB til the 4th and get a dominant D player (Kendricks - QB of the D?), DL, or EDGE (Harold or gamble on Gregory). I REALLY want us to get either Lockett or Kendricks and hope we can get one of these OT at the top of the 3rd (or trade up if we are down to one we like being available).
I could get behind Lael Collins if he was still there in rd 4, especially if we went something like WR or DL in 2 and then LB, RB or DB in 3. It occurs to me this Titans draft could be very exciting and the most boom/bust overall draft we've had, at least with big names. We still have the opportunity to draft Lael Collins, DGB, Randy Gregory, Jalen Collins, Landon Collins...pretty much all the Collinses!
