With pick #177 of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select: Deiontrez Mount, OLB, Louisville

Yeah, he's going to have to bulk up a little.

Sounds like he has great work ethic and is a leader.

 

I didn't know a ton about Mount when we drafted him, but i've done some research. Starting to like the pick more and more. I think we really got a nice piece for LeBeau. I'm assuming he'll play in the SAM role, blitzing and disrupting the backfield, never in coverage.

Played everywhere: outside linebacker, inside linebacker, defensive tackle and defensive end. Plays hard, rumored to have a good work ethic, & was a leader for the Louisville defense. He's a pretty solid pass-rusher coming off the edge and has great pursuit skills. He makes plays in the backfield, simply put. Led Louisville in TFL (11.5) and sacks (6).

Orakpo and Morgan are clearly our starters. Wimbley has been a disappointment, but he's atleast average depth. We might be able to get something out of Massaquoi. Best case scenario, Mount turns into a decent 3rd OLB.

Remember, Avery Williamson was a 5th rounder last year and was our best defensive player for a stretch last year.
