So the Titans have a very exciting young core coming together on the offensive side of the ball. Mariota, DGB, Wright, Sankey/Cobb/Fowler, Warmack, Lewan, Poutasi, etc. But great offenses (and defenses) in this league have both young talent and veterans who lead the team. Our offense seems completely devoid of that veteran leadership. A player or players who the young guys look to on the field for guidance and a steadying hand. And someone whose work ethic leads by example. Nate is gone, Levitre is NOT it and every other projected starter is a relative newbie. What are some possible options? I would love to see the Titans trade for Mathis to add a seasoned veteran to that young oline or something like that. Thoughts?

Walker for sure and Douglas is said to be a great locker room vet

Mccourty and Casey on D. But LeBeau should really be the most influential. And lots of vets coming in.

Offense is Walker. And really Mariotas to take.

    I think we're fine.

NFL has gotten a lot younger since 2012, it's an unintended consequence to the new CBA, vets priced themselves out, so all teams like us have this same issue. But we should be ok with Walker and Douglas on offense. Mariota should also be able to slide in and assume a leadership role, he comes from a winning culture, guys will welcome that...

With the new vets coming in, I think the Titans have vets sprinkled in most position groups.

I was reading an article the other day about teams and players over 30.

Its the way the league is moving, do not expect to bring in a 'vet' just because they are old.

Basically what everybody has said... Walker and Douglas on O, McCourty and Casey on D.

Also Orakpo, Morgan, Griffin, and Woodyard aren't exactly young guys either.

I think we do have some vet leadership and it is a mixed bag. We also do have guys coming from a winning culture in players like Mariota at QB and Fowler at FB, Prewitt at S, etc.

We not only need the vet leadership as with Douglas and Walker, but players who will change the culture from within. One of the things I like about some of the picks...like Mariota. Also wouldn't have minded bringing in Nate Boyer, the Green Beret from Texas as a Long Snapper to just to give him a shot and to bring a new attitude!

I like Brown's story of how during a very hot 2 a days the team was bitching about how hot it was and how tired they were blah blah blah so he asked Boyer to get up in front of the team and tell them about serving in Iraq! The whining tends to stop rather quickly!
