    Titans get:

    Bears 1st rd pick..7
    Bears 3rd rd pick...71
    Bears 5th rd pick...141

    QB Jay Cutler

Conditional 3rd or 4th rd pick in 2016 based on cutler starting 10+ games..

    Bears get:

    Titans 1st rd pick...2

I would have taken that trade. That sets the titans at the QB position for several years. Cutler's contract is not as bad as some think. He is a year younger than Rivers and a known commodity. We still get a great pick in rd 1 and plenty of opportunity to meet other team needs.

With the 7th pick i probably take Danny Shelton which basically completes our defense. The extra pick in rd 3 allows us to get a better RB(Duke Johnson) or a better RT(Cummings). We could have used the extra 5th rd pick to combine with our own and get a third pick in the 4th.

The extra pick next year also helps.

With this trade we can be a playoff contender now.

I like Cutler more than most. But the fact is he's never been able to get it done with much better talent than he would have here. I'd much rather roll the dice with Mariota.

Also, how do you know that trade was offered or is this just speculation?

That would be near the top of the nightmare scenarios for this last draft.

I wouldn't be all that opposed if you had said the Bears #7 pick, Bears 2016 First Rounder, Bears 2017 First Rounder and Cutler. But for what was suggested, that is just horrible horrible terrible bad idea.

Cutler has had some good players to throw to but he has had terrible offensive lines. He's been sacked 6.2% of the time which is worse than the league average.

His career passing rating is better than Matthew Stafford,Andy Dalton, Cam Newton. His passing rating last year was 88 and the last 3 seasons it has been 87.5. Yes he is an average QB but average is better than what we had and he is fairly durable starting 14.25 games a year on average.

Why? And who gives up 2 future 1st rd picks just to move up 5 spots? My trade was based in reality not fantasy.

Not even close. George only won 37% of his starts.

That is literally what the Redskins gave to move up to No. 2 for a QB only a couple years ago.

Skins gave up a 1st, a 2nd, and two future 1sts to move up 4 spots and get RG3.
