I think Whiz and co. Took a hard look at what it is going to take to beat the colts and they realized that keeping the ball away from Luck is the best way to defend against their potent offense. So we have a QB who can extend drives with his legs and who doesn't turn the ball over much and a FB to help open holes and pound the rock in short yardage. Also you need to protect your young QB and having a stout FB to pick up the blitz is very helpful. We obviously targeted him for a reason.

Not having a proper FB last year was not good for our run game. The fact Karl Klug was used at FB is very telling. Getting on that can also catch the ball and can be on special teams is a big bonus.

Obviously, the people running the team thought they needed a FB. Maybe they thought the FB was more likely to contribute? My point is people emphasize where players are drafted too much..not which position was drafted.

Pick is solid and safe. Our line is still average....We can use all of the nasty blocking/smash mouth running we can get. Dude can straight move at 250, and will be used in the red zone as well.

yeah I mean I get pretty pissed off since we could've selected an OT or OG that could be starting. But I really want the team to win and am not amused at trading up for Jared Cook or selecting Craig Stevens in round 3.

Well we should obviously trust our amazing front office that has led us to 2 playoff in the last 11 years. Clearly nobody should be critical at all of a FB in round 4.

I mean if we took a K at #2 overall, clearly the people running the team thought they needed a K. Maybe they though K was more likely to contribute? Your point is null and void.

I agree sometimes picks will make you scratch your head.. But we don't know what the plan is. We dont run an NFL team.

Pull your panties out of your crack and calm down. It's a 4th round pick. He hasn't played yet. What if he turns out to be the best damn blocker and runner we have? Will you still be crying?

yep probably shouldn't have opinions about players NFL or life in general. I mean, we are all just Americans. We don't run the country. Do what they say. Don't question.

    Why you want my panties??

If he turns into a marquee playmaker or any type of starter better than any other pick or undrafted FA after him then I will have no room to criticize. Until then, I'm sort of allowed free speech here if I abide by the monarch's rules. That opinion is a FB isn't worth a 4th round pick. And the 3 people hyping him are TrollTide fans with real problems. I would list those problems, but I guess they pay more than I do in donations so I've been told to be quiet by our Russian Overlords.
