If people bitched constantly about Whis before the season, they would have got the same thing. Which they did, and they did.

The fact that some fans want the Marcus Mariota era to be over before his first game says all I need to know. They are whiny little girls.

I like Mariota. But we could have drafted a guard, moved him to QB, and I still would have been more supportive than some people here.

 

Some people liked what they saw in Mett. Personally, I'd be happy with a fair competition but we know that's not happening.

Who knows. Both of these QBS could be great and one will be trade bait in the future. I don't see anyone wishing Mariota to fail. They just disagree with the front office decision and believe he will. People keep saying "look at the tape and all he does pre snap" when it's been explained many times how little he is actually doing. You could post 100 article proving how little Mariota had to do compared to that in a pro style offense but fans don't care about facts.


Basically, we're going back to the VY "nutswingers" era. People coming here who didn't give a damn about the Titans last season and talking about how Mariota is going to be the guy and starting insulting other players on the team. (Mett) I don't mean this thread in particular but there are others.

People can disagree about Mett all they want but bandwagon TN fans coming here and doing so can go duck themselves. (Pun intended) They will leave if he fails, just like the majority of VY fans did.

@520 has stated multiple times that he wants to be on the bandwagon. Ive wished i could. DW is just DW.The Mariota train is the group that's keeps crying because everyone won't jump on the train with them. For years, everyone has had free reign to criticize the front office. Funny how people are suddenly butthurt because we are doing the same exact thing that most fans have done for years. (Criticizing the front office) I haven't seen any event wanting him to fail. They just believe he will. There's a HUGE difference.


At this point, anyone wanting Mariota to fail, even of they think we will, is a horrible fan. Hes the QB for the next 3 years. It's in all of our interest that he works out. Most of us here are Titans fans first.

Here's my thing...Whis spoke openly last year about how he fully didn't have "his roster" yet. We knew we'd see a lot of fluctuation between last year and this year. Our draft was all offense for the most part bringing in "his guys". Mett was taken as a late round insurance policy for Locker who he was being forced to at least try out for a spin. Mett 100% surprised me and most, I have respect for him and would have been down to give him his shot but at the end of the day he's not a franchise QB....hate it or love it this franchise needed what Marcus Mariota brings and that's excitement to our fan base and interest nationally. There's a reason he brings that with him, he's a humble/genuine person with all the athletic ability in the world. I'm really pulling for him and fighting off my fears from the last 2 snake bitten Franchise QB draft pick fantasies.

This is the funniest statement ever. Yup, the titans are in store for a nice Steve Young/Joe Montana dual. Do you actually believe that the Titans would ever be so lucky to have 2 starting QB's let alone great ones. Bhahahaha, we are cursed.

 

What is the point though? I can name 30 pro style QBs that are not starting. Either you have what it takes to be an NFL QB or you don't.
