Weak or not it IS evidence. And again, the league doesn't apply rules of a court of law- it is rules of court of public opinion. They pursue with great zeal those players/coaches that are not liked by the court of public opinion and spin issues associated with those that are well liked into nothing. It is always the problem I've had with the league.

But in this case, there is a history of the Patriots violating league rules to gain a competitive edge and ENOUGH evidence to suggest they did it again with deflating the balls. The Patriots handled the situation absolutely the wrong way from a PR standpoint- Kraft got up and made arrogant statements of denial, and Brady failed to comply with league requests. That alone set the "witch hunt" into motion. The Patriots have nobody but themselves to blame for that.

The league has a perception problem that they (and Goodell) seem to hold the Patriots to a lesser standard of rule compliance. Whether real or not, that also played into this situation. The league set precedents with "lack of awareness to exert control....." with the Saints handing down a VERY harsh punishment. Again- that was due court of public opinion's disposition on player safety.

My point is, the Patriots were there own worst enemy here. I don't feel sorry form them in the least, even if I did like them as organization (which I obviously don't for many reasons). The league had no alternative to come down heavy on them. Failing to do so with affirm the idea that Patriots get "special" treatment. And that would be a PR disaster for the entire league.

And FTR, I don't now and never have liked how Goodell administers league policies. There is no respect for consistency and fairness- only what benefits the league. I don't feel sorry for Kraft- his greedy azz has benefitted greatly from having the leagues "Golden Boy" and one of the best coaches. Their arrogance has come home to roost.

What I think doesn't matter. I also think JJ Watt is on roids and HGH, is that enough to get him suspended?

Feel like I should just keep saying this til people wake up and realize this whole this is bull crap, every QB from high school to the pros gets to hand pick their footballs for games, NFL shouldn't care at all how a QB likes his balls

NFL shouldn't care at all how a QB likes his balls

NFL shouldn't care at all how a QB likes his balls

NFL shouldn't care at all how a QB likes his balls

In fact, the league needs to allow anything goes when it comes to balls, including using nerf balls.

Since we apparently have entirely different definitions of evidence it seems pointless to argue this further.

It is BS. I don't think anybody will deny it. But then the rule shouldn't be there if they are going to be broken. That is BS.

But breaking rules of competition that are in place is not acceptable for anybody to break, irregardless of the prevalence of it happening. And that is the crux of this deflategate. It really could have gone away if the Pats had responded in a more productive manner.

Well unfortunately the court of Goodell only needs reasonable cause to entice such sanctions. While I agree it's a loose case I do believe it was purposely done and that Brady knew.

I however don't think it's nearly as a big deal as it's made out to be.

First, that question is irrelevant to the current situation.

Second, I answered that already. Winning is hollow if you cheat to do it. Not for me.
