Rookies 1st Media Practice

The 0-6 knock is way overblown. yea we went 0-6 with Mett, but we also fielded the 5th highest yard per catch in the league with Mett.... The guys got some good going on, just not enough that he should have a cult following..

 

He has a cannon of an arm, and good instinct....We are going to TRULY see what he is made of this year. This is going to be fun gang.

 

Cult? I aint seen anyone say he's winning 5-6 super bowls...

 

Of course not, he's no Jimmy Garoppolo

 

LOL had't seen this term since we had a bunch of CJ2K goats polluting our threads.

 

One story I heard, that I really liked about today's practice, is that DGB was lining up to run a route and it was the other QB's turn to throw the ball. DGB said "Get Mariota in there!" So Mariota came up to the line and threw DGB the pass instead. DGB has also been quoted as telling Mariota, "Anytime you go to the weight room, be sure to take me with you."

I really like how they know they need to get on the same page and are trying to build a bond and camaraderie. It's nice to see them making such an effort, very encouraging.

Here's hoping some of Mariota's character can start rubbing off on DBG and he will be a good influence on him, so DGB can put his past behind him.

 

That's the type of thing that makes me excited.

 

My wife is also a teacher...she calls me this morning all excited about one of her former students she had in her 2nd grade class signing with the Titans. Parrish Gaines..

There was another story where Mariota told DGB to run a skinny post the given WR had. DGB ended up jumping off sides didn't get to throw it to him on that play. I do like how both of them are connecting and pushing each other.

 

that is nice. i said when dgb was drafted that at the very least choir boy maiota will turn dgb into a stand up guy lol.
