Beautiful but we drafted an 8 year veteran with no learning curve. Amirite?!

I think MM is smarter than we are giving him credit for. I want to see what he does when there is no player to throw to on a passing play. We just want to see if he throws it away or always tries to get something and gets injured or fumbles while doing it. Maybe his elusiveness is just as good?

    Pro comparison

Aaron Rodgers threw for 4300 and 40 TDs. 7 INTS.

So glad we drafted Rodgers in his prime

Not at all, but this is a QB that has been coached/trained for the last 4 years to get the ball out quick.
Chip Kelly's ideal was to get the ball out of the QB's hands on pass plays in under two (2) seconds.
And for those that aren't aware, Kelly's offense is still being run by Oregon to great effect.

Smarter? Maybe. Doesn't mean he is automatically Aaron Rodgers nor does anything suggest a rookie won't have a learning curve.

People throwing out these ludicrous stats at an alarming rate is good for my morning laugh tho.

I completely agree with this- however the transition isn't going to be as smooth as some of these people believe

At Oregon, he was instructed to throw it away. The Oregon coaches explained that:
    A) No one ever lost a game due to an incomplete pass thrown out of bounds.
    B) If it's 2nd and 6 and he takes a sack, now it's 3rd and 12-18. If he throws it away, he lost a down but not more yards.

I thought they did too. I posted the other day they were, my apology. They come back after Memorial Day for full-team OTA's.

Just to keep some perspective.... Peyton Manning, probably the greatest statistical QB of all-time, had 26 TDs to 29 turnovers his rookie year.
