Remember how Locker 'almost' came came back in a couple of games against NO and ATL his rookie year? There were posters on here tearing Locker apart for not being able to finish games (when he was the only reason we were in the game to begin with) ... but 6th round ZM starts 0-6 and people complain that he isn't the starter lol

Well 1st of all I never said you 'couldn't' chime in ... All I said was that the question was not directed towards you. Last I checked, the quote button (which is used on this public forum frequently) was intended for comments to be directed towards certain people.

That being said, I was glad you did because you made my point for me ... people ARE in fact making excuses for ZM.

What you didn't understand though, was that I was not arguing the point that those excuses were invalid. I can tell you didn't understand by your comment "The wins argument isn't a good one, especially if you look at the whole picture" ... because that was not what I was arguing at all.

My argument isn't against Mett at all ... it is against whiny ass posters.

"Oh, I can't believe they aren't giving Mett a real shot" ... When the fact of the matter is, he had his shot. He was given 6 games. He didn't capitalize, now its time to move on.

I like Mett, but he is not the starter for this team. Why some posters need to build up Mett and tear down Mariota makes no sense.

Last I checked Mett has accomplished no more than Mariota so far in this league. (0 wins for each)

Mett wins one game and he's probably the starter by default since we can't draft mariota . It is a team game and he didn't exactly have a strong supporting cast but you should be able to find a way to pull at least a win a six games which he was unable to do. I think Mett can be a good QB in this league but it doesn't really matter cause Mariota is now our sink or swim QB so there really is no reason to keep bitching about it. You will have your moment a few years from now if mariota busts but hoping for that makes absolutely no sense when this is the team you choose to follow.
