Lining Griffin up near the LoS at SS might help us, he appears to be in our future plans so doing anything that keeps from having him as the last line of defense couldn't be bad. Searcy is a FS if you ask me, I know people were thinking he'd be our SS but he moves really well and looks like a FS out there.

 

It's not a bad list, but I'd prefer:

-Fasano at TE2
-Douglas likely starts over Hunter or DGB, atleast to start the year.

I'm excited to see how the CB depth chart shakes out also.

Griffin is done, would love for Prewitt to take his spot by years end. Once we cut him he'll sign a 1yr deal w another team, will barely play, & won't be able to find another team.

 

2/3 of our defensive line ****ing sucks.

 

I think D. Jones puts one of those guys on the bench.

I liked him out of Penn St, and he made an impact in preseason before he got hurt.

 

I hope so. I liked him coming out as well. Didn't know he got hurt last year. I thought he just got buried in the depth chart.

You are correct. I could have sworn I read that he was put on IR in the preseason last year.

Oh well, hopefully he takes a step forward this year.

 

Not bad, but I definitely worry about us stopping the run since we didn't add to the DL (Blackson?) or ILB (getting Brown back?) really..

I'm also worried about the depth behind Orakpo/Morgan and RT (Poutasi?)

We have a few ? still, which is expected coming off a 2-14 season. You're unlikely to fix all the problems in one summer. But hopefully LeBeau can coach them up and we have a dynamic offense with Mariota and all the draft focus on there

Yep. It'll happen. Often.

Could've at least helped this problem by signing Red Bryant and Brandon Spikes...

Both are only two down players, but whatever. They would've helped a lot.
