off topic but I broke out Skyrim over the weekend and started a new game and am every bit as hooked as I was the first time around. I think that might be one of my top 5, or definitely 10, favorite games of all-time.

I feel like I am being incredibly negative today, I promise it is not on purpose lol.

But I didn't enjoy Skyrim as much as I thought I would. The Nords were just a boring group to write around. Not to mention a major part of the story was racism and it came out about the same time this resurgence of racial issues came up in the states. Same reason Bioshock Infinite pissed me off as well.

Well I didn't consider current social issues while playing a video game about magic and dragons lol.

I just loved how epic it was and how many different ways there were to go. This time around I'm focusing on different skills and paths and I'm having a significantly different experience than the first time. Full disclosure though, I don't play a lot of "epic" 40+ hour games anymore. So when I do get into one I am thoroughly hooked. And there may have been a number of games every bit as good as Skyrim and I just missed them. I didn't play Bioshock, Mass Effect, any of that stuff.

i absolutely hate storyline games....bioshock and batman arkham city were the only two i remember playing full way through and enjoying...i got arkham city and after a hour or two it just got so freaking repetitive that i went and replayed a.c. and got much more enjoyment out of replaying that lol. then i got asylum free on ps plus and it was cool until all the bad guys turned into lunatics then it just got lame as **** so again i started playing a.c. lol.

It's not the same as AA and AC, but it has some pretty good moments towards the end.

Arkham Origins was actually made by a different developer than Asylum and City so if you liked the first two then the good news is they are switching back to the devs who made those games.
