Let's vote on what we think is the best draft in Titans history. I am not going to list every year, just the notable ones which could be in contention.

    1999

The year of the Super Bowl. That draft brought at least one player who was a major factor in getting to the Super Bowl. There were also some other players that went on to do well. Notable players include:
    • Jevon Kearse -- Best rookie season in Titans history
    • John Thornton -- Good starting DT for a while
    • Zach Piller -- Starter at OG a long time
    • Donald Mitchell -- Good NB

    2000

Considering the Titans were picking low this year they did quite well. Notable players include:
    • Keith Bulluck
    • Erron Kinney -- made a great TE pair with Wycheck
    • Peter Sirmon -- Long time LB starter
    • Robaire Smith -- Monster DT

    2002

One superstar and some decent role players this year. Notable players include:
    • Albert Haynesworth -- was great while he was in Tennessee
    • Tank Williams -- started at SS from day one
    • Justin Hartwig -- Good starting C for a couple years
    • Carlos Hall -- Had one really good year

    2005

Even though the first round pick was a bust, Pacman Jones, this draft turned out well. Notable players include:
    • Michael Roos
    • David Stewart
    • Vincent Fuller -- long time NB
    • Brandon Jones -- Decent WR
    • Roydell Willams -- Was good before injuries
    • Bo Scaife -- Short but good career

99 and it really isn't close.

If 2005 is consider a 'good' draft, then it tells you why we are where we are at.

    2015
    - Marcus "the Truth" Mariota
    - Dorial "the Freak 2.0" Green-Beckham
    - Jalston "the Beast" Fowler

    lol kidding

Sheesh... there's not really one that jumps out at me. Here's hoping 2015 really does turn out to be our best.

99, 2000, and 2002 yielded one great player each but the overall draft classes weren't anything spectacular IMO. I think you can at least make an argument for 2005 based solely on the longevity of Roos and Stewart. If Pac hadn't been such a colossal dumbazz I think I'd say 2005 hands down.

99 and 08 put us over the top. Kearse and a young, motivated CJ were exactly what those teams needed.

2000. To get 4 legit NFL players from a draft is a great draft.
Bulluck was bulluck, Sirmon was reliable for a long time, Kinney was a good role playing TE and a community hero.

And smith had a decent career

    Those were the glory days.

    Um...

Any time you get 2 top 10 OT's that have 10 year careers, I call that a major W.

Anytime this topic comes up I can't help but think how bad we botched 2004. 13 picks and nothing, SMH.

    As for best draft? 2005.

Pacman was great on the field for us, too bad he was a POS human being tho. And Roos and Stewart? And even Scaife... Scaife always impressed me because I never thought he belonged, but he did pretty well for a scrub...

Those 2 players were what those 2 teams needed, too bad it never all came together
