I really can't blame Peter King. From the pessimistic view of our team:

Rookie "spread" offense QB transitioning into the NFL. Two unproven RBs and a handful of unproven WRs. Kendall Wright and Delaine Walker are both solid, pro-bowl type players. But our line is a mess, I hope Lewan is the future at LT, but he had an up and down rookie year. Warmack has been flakey, Levitre has been awful, and Schwenke has been even worse. Who knows what's happening at RT.

On defense, we have only Jurrell Casey worth a damn on the defensive line. One average to good OLB in Morgan and another who's a probowler, when healthy... which is never. ILBs are up and down, ZB hasn't been healthy. Williamson had a pretty solid year 1. McCourty is a good #2 CB playing #1 CB. Perrish Cox had a roller coaster of a season in 49ers after bouncing around thanks to his a sexual assault chargers. After those two, we have a handful of failed young CBs. Griffin had another awful year, but Searcy is coming off a solid year in Buffalo (when he was surrounded by an elite defense).

But, F Peter King. I think this team has a ton of potential and could be fighting for a playoff spot by years end (best case scenario).

Honestly, it's hard to think of a team that is a lock to finish worse than us. Obviously it all depends on Mariota.

The raiders? They have Carr and cooper and a good young front seven. I think they'll be decent.

Bucs? Same boat as we are in, except they have a much more established wr corps, whereas ours is all potential. Plus they play in a weak division.

Buffalo? They have a good d and some good weapons, but nothing even resembling a qb. They could bottom out.

I could see the jets being horrible.

I could easily see us picking anywhere from #1 overall to squeaking into the playoffs. My money is on something in the 6-10 to 8-8 range. But we'll just have to see.

I see us as a 6-7 win team....I think establishing the run is going to help this team IMMENSELY....

I agree. However, I'm really trying to keep my expectations low.

Last season hurt. I thought we had a shot to be good, then after the kc game, I was riding high, national media was talking positive about us... Then off the cliff.

Yeah, I get that man....Lets be honest though, they had a ton of injuries, and played people that had NO business being on the field. They did a lot this off season. LeBeau, new Defensive pieces, QB depth, receiving help, you name it. The only positions I am scared about are RT and NT as of now. Don't get me wrong, I expect some brutal games, but I still think they win at least 6 this year. They better, or else heads are rolling.
