I think shotgun is the way teams are going, it leaves a little more room for error and keeps the QB out of harms way, I think we'd have called it regardless the down and distance/score..

 

heres a small sampling, and this is very common to see now

notice the count on shotgun calls all game for both teams.... Teams love shotgun, and running from it too

I could see soccer helping with balance and stuff, I played soccer as a kid, soccer teaches hand eye coordination and other stuff that's transferable to other sports

 

Yeah, my son plays Soccer, baseball, and swimming. It's amazing how skills spread to ther sports etc....

 

This talk about running from shotgun, what is the time difference between the runner getting the ball in his hands? As well how effective is the pistol formation (singleback formation, with runner behind qb in shotgun) at the run as it is a longer distance?
