I really think the coaches had Sankey thinking too much about footwork and all the other things they kept mentioning. He didn't look comfortable at all with his abilities. Even with the bad oline play, he looked pretty bad himself.

I recall, when asked about the Greene signing, Web noted that he went to his Bowl game his senior year or something. I guess that was enough to sign him, LOL. Turrible signing from the get to.

    • Report: Tennessee Titans to release RB Shonn Greene

The partnership between the Tennessee Titans and running back Shonn Greeneare reportedly coming to an end as early as this morning, according to the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt

Greene, 29, was scheduled to make $3.25 million this year, the final of his contract.

The former 3rd round pick in 2009 from Iowa first joined the Titans in 2013 after a 3-year stint with the New York Jets. When the Titans draft running back Bishop Sankey last year in the second round, and David Cobb this year, the writing was on the wall in Nashville. Expect those two to get the majority of the carries this year alongside new quarterback Marcus Mariota, with Dexter McCluster and Antonio Andrews used in specific packages as well

That was always an awful signing. Too much money for an average, older RB.

I actually didn't think it was such a terrible signing when we did it. Greene was plenty serviceable in NY and we needed help. I know a lot of people thought we overpaid him and I wouldn't even argue that point. But it's not like we gave him a CJ deal and crippled our cap or anything. I think he was worth the shot. It just didn't work out.

Glad to see him gone now though.

thats what I thought as well.

It became clear he just wanted to coast for a paycheck.

This news is long overdue, IDK why we kept putting this off, but whatever, we all saw this coming...
