Greene to be released

I'm pretty sure Cobb/Fowler can handle that job...I hope I NEVER see DMC carry a ball again, unless he is catching it on a screen pass...lol

 

What? He was coming off back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons. He certainly wasn't anything spectacular but dude absolutely did not "suck with the Jets". We gave him 4.5 million guaranteed on a 3-year deal. I don't see why people think that was so absurd for a guy coming off consecutive 1K seasons.

 

That's what we thought Greene's only job should be, yet DMC and Leon Washington got more short yardage carries, F-UCK I hate Ken Whisenhunt

 

Problem is they will know it's a screen if they see him out there.

Giving guaranteed money to running backs who aren't even in the top 25 at their position is insane.

 

So what determines "top 25" if not stats? He was the 14th leading rusher in 2012 and the 13th leading rusher in 2011. We signed him after the 2012 season.

And again we're talking about 4.5 guaranteed on a 3-year deal in an age where the salary cap is well north of 120 million.

This comes off like bitching just for the sake of bitching imo.

 

top 25 huh... the RB position is a large pool with maybe 10 big fish and dozens of smaller role players, saying top 25 is very vague.... If youre not a top 10 name youre a 2nd tier RB, and there are more than 25 of those

Greene was slightly overpaid yes, but not a terrible deal IMO.

 

This was where I was at. He was serviceable in NY, and I didn't mind the deal when it happened. Thought he and could compliment each other, but I was wrong. Greene always being injured didn't help things. We all knew this was going to happen though, hopefully Cobb and Fowler work out and Sankey looks much improved this coming season.

Also hoping Wiz can actually put guys in the proper situations to succeed. Maybe he will this year since last years tank is complete lol.
