We upgraded, but I would rather have had him and Walker.

He's had a couple big games in his career, but he also gets a pretty consistent level of production from game to game. We gave up a 2nd round pick for him and drafted him in the 3rd if I remember right. He was a regular contributor who came up big from time to time. We've done a lot worse with those picks in the past. Every team has. That's my opinion anyway.

I thought Thompson was putting it together last year until he got hurt. Was looking forward to seeing his progress this year. I guess missing the physical and having a knee injury out of nowhere, after participating in OTA's was too much for the Titans to handle.

TE somewhere in the draft next year?

Really odd, says he's having knee issues and Whiz alienates him? So then they release him instead of trying to work out the problem with his knee? Sounds to me like they're either gonna be an injury settlement or a grievance filed .

Just really baffling the way the Titans would treat a player who never got in any trouble or caused a riff, seems very unprofessional.

JCB was in 4th grade the last time the titans made a good trade up.

What a joke from the get-go. He wasn't suited to be an NFL DE or a TE. He is the prototypical practice squad player. Can wear all kinds of hats, but none very effectivrly

I wouldn't say never. Some basketball players turned out to be pretty damn good at TE. Although I never understood the DE to TE transition he tried to make. He could block his ass off but that was it. I just wanted him cause he was cheaper and you get than Stevens and did the same thing but I won't miss him.
